Program Objectives

New Mexico students need more opportunities to achieve their educational dreams. Great online courses and experienced online teachers will help provide students with those opportunities. The overarching goal of the OTLO program is to prepare you to develop and deliver online courses for New Mexico high school students. The courses you will learn to create will be standards-based for your content area and follow best-practices guidelines for distance education. To help us achieve that goal, we will be using the SREB Standards for Quality Online Teaching as a guide for our program objectives and learning goals.

In order to avoid that confusion, we will minimize our primary course resources to the following:

We'll experiment with many other tools, as well. However, the sites above will provide access to any other online tools we may use.
