 You will use your breadcrumbs, jump to menu, and access your administration block. Pages 1-3

Administration Block Highlights:

 

  • Turn editing on

  • Assign Roles (where you select students)
  • Files

Profiles & Communication

  • Participants Block
  • Upper right corner link to your profile
  • Profile settings
  • Messages

 

 You will edit your profile and send a message to someone else in the group. Pages 29, 43

Technical Trick:

 

Cache must be set to refresh every time or automatially. See Preferences or Tools>Options in your browser.

  • General Settings
    • Format
  • Availability Settings
    • Enrollment key
  • Language Settings
  • Assigning Roles
 You will configure the settings for your course. Pages 4-11

Remember:

 

Your course will be hidden by default. Choose to turn on the visibility when you feel it is ready to share with the other users on your site or when you set an enrollment key.

 You will add a picture and text to your course content, create a link to a file or website, and create an online assignment submission dropbox.  Pages 23, 51-58, 63-67
